Celebrating 24 glorious years of the Delhi Schools Literacy Project, the Valedictory Function of Literacy Week Festival held on September 15th, 2012 at Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan, marked the end of a week devoted to activities such as Recitation, Declamation, Story Writing, Street Theatre and Poster Making as a motivational force for students to spread Literacy amongst the less privileged.
The Chief Guest on the occasion, Mr. P. K. Tripathi (IAS) Chief Secretary, Government of NCT of Delhi gave away the Awards and Trophies to the prize-winning schools.
Mrs.Rajni Kumar, Honorary Advisor and Founder of Delhi Schools Literacy Project congratulated the member Principals, teacher colleagues of DSLP and student volunteers for their efforts and dedication in making 6000 learners literate said that idea behind the festival is to bring the school and community together working collectively towards the goal of an inclusive, integrated and socially just society with everyone enjoying equal rights and performing their social responsibilities.
Student Exchange Programme
Under the Student Exchange Programme organized by the Max Mueller Bhavan in collaboration with Bosch Foundation, Germany, our school was chosen to work on a project on Solar Energy with Hebel Gymnasium School, Pforzheim in Germany .The project aims to impart knowledge regarding Renewable Energy Resources and Participation of youth in combating Climate Change and dealing with the Environmental Issues. The project gave the Opportunity to the students of both the schools to exchange the geographical, historical and political facts of both the countries regarding the Solar Energy.
In another Exchange programme with Students from Gymnasium Bayreuther School in Germany our students worked on the water problems faced by both countries.
